In order to minimize the spread of the dangerous coronavirus, Illinois citizens are being directed to stay home whenever possible. There are times, however, when it’s necessary to venture out to essential businesses for food and cleaning supplies. At Best Vac in St. Charles, owner Ron Vohs is maintaining certain store hours and services in order to assist the public.
“There’s been some confusion about what qualifies as an essential business during this time of uncertainty,” explained Vohs. “Best Vac qualifies as an essential business in several categories: Appliance Repair (we fix vacuums), Cleaning and Sanitation (we sell and service products that are essential for keeping facilities and homes clean), and Air Purification (we sell air purifiers).”
Best Vac will be open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., closed Wednesdays and Sundays. “We’ll be in the store to answer phones and to process internet and phone orders,” added Vohs. “We’ll offer sidewalk pickup and drop-off for prepaid orders and repaired vacuums, and we’ll continue to offer shipping options.”
Several services have been discontinued temporarily, including in-home central vacuum service, vacuum cleaner and carpet cleaning rentals, and non-essential vacuum repairs. “If your primary vacuum is broken, we can arrange for you to drop it off for repair,” said Vohs. “We can’t do the repairs in one day, due to limited staff and limited access to repair parts. If you can’t be without a vacuum for a week, please consider purchasing a backup vacuum. We have models starting as low as $149.99.”
Vohs and his team are closely monitoring the effects of the current coronavirus pandemic. “A properly working vacuum cleaner and air purifier, along with appropriate cleaning supplies, can be very important for consumers and businesses, so we will continue to operate,” said Vohs.
